Leopard Swing Jacket

I am a little crazy for leopard.  I am a leopard addict!  If you were to peek inside my closet you would find it on repeat in a good majority of my clothes and accessories!  Truthfully, leopard is my favorite neutral because it literally goes with everything and any color!  That’s why when I saw this leopard swing jacket, exclusive to Banana Republic Factory, I knew I had the get it!

I love the versatility of this coat which can easily transition from a day to night look.  Roll up the sleeves, pop up the collar, and throw it on over your favorite pair of jeans, a cozy sweater, and some cute suede booties and you are ready for whatever the day brings your way!  Alternatively, slip into some black leather jeggings, a sequins top, and some sparkly heels and you are ready for your date night!  Don’t forget to add some leopard accessories!  The styling possibilities are endless!

I hope you all are having a great week so far!  Enjoy shopping and drop me a line if you get a chance!  I love to hear from everyone!

Xoxoxo,

Hayley

My Fall/Winter Skincare Regime

The fall season has finally arrived and I couldn't be happier.  The days get a little shorter and the weather gets a bit chillier, but it's the perfect time to light your autumn scented candles, start a fire in your fireplace, and cozy up with a warm snugly blanket and a cup of your favorite tea.

Although summer is over and you may not see your bare legs and feet until next spring, it's important to remember that this is the time of year when your skin needs the most attention!  The colder weather and use of indoor heating during the fall and winter season will dry out your skin resulting in flakiness and/or cracking.

Today I am sharing some of my favorite skincare care products from L'occitane.  So draw a bubble bath, light a candle, and get ready to soak in some of the best spa moisturizing treatments that will keep your skin looking soft, supple, and glowing all season long!

1.   Verbena Shower Gel:   I start my home spa experience with this fresh, clean body cleanser scented with a crisp, citrus scent of verbena. Essential oils of orange, geranium, verbena, and lemon tree smooth and nurture even the most sensitive skin and will permeate your room with the sweet smelling aroma.

2.   Verbena Body Salt Scrub:  The next step is a luxurious exfoliating body scrub made with salts from the Mediterranean Sea.  The refreshing fragrance of pure extracts of verbena, orange, geranium and lemon tree are combined to create a perfect exfoliating body scrub. Essential oils of grapeseed, apricot and sweet almond nourish and moisturize while antioxidizing vitamin A helps maintain a healthy appearance. Skin turns silky-smooth as dead skin cells are massaged away. Your body and mood will feel revived.

3. Shea Ultra Rich Body Lotion:  Once you have cleansed and exfoliated, it's time to step out of the bath, dry off, and moisturize.  I love to use Shea Ultra Rich Body Lotion every day all over my entire body.  This ultra-smooth body lotion is enriched with 15% shea butter to nourish, calendula extract to soothe, and honey/sweet almond to moisturize.

4. Shea Butter Foot Cream:  If you're like me, your over-dry feet probably take the biggest beating and need the most attention.  I like to use the Shea Butter Foot Cream every day after showering.  Enriched with soothing lavender essential oil and anti-inflammatory arnica extract, this rich cream smoothes and softens the rough skin while relieving tired achy feet.

5. Verbena Eau de Toilette: I like to top off my fall and winter spa skin care regime with a splash of Verbena Eau de Toilette.  I love the delicate scent of verbena on a rosy base of sweet geranium and lemon tree.

6.  Shea Butter Hand Cream: Don't forget to pop this into your handbag for quick moisturizing fixes during the day.  This super-smoothing and best-selling hand cream is made of 20% shea butter, honey and sweet almond extract, blended with the light and alluring aromas of jasmine and ylang-ylang essences. The texturally pleasing balm glides on and miraculously absorbs to help heal and protect dry or dehydrated skin. Anti-oxidizing vitamin E helps nourish and invites even the most hard-working hands to a fresh beginning!

The weather outside may begin turning colder and dry in the upcoming months but your skin doesn't need to be.  Give your winter skincare regime a boost and say goodbye to unsightly dry, flaking, and cracking skin!

I would love to hear from you!  What are your favorite skin care products for the hands, feet, and body that you cannot live without?

Enjoy pampering!

Designing My Feminine Retreat

Hint of Blush Guest Bedroom

I have been wanting to redecorate our guest bedroom for quite a long time and I needed a little interior design inspiration.  For those of you who don't know me that well, I live in a house full of boys, including my chocolate labrador!  I really need a room I can escape to...to get away and work on my blog, to sit in a comfy, girly space that will inspire my feminine side!  My husband and boys may not ever come in this room, but that's ok.  It's my escape...a place to sit quietly and have a cup of coffee or to read the current issue of Vogue!

Lately, I have been drawn to beautiful soft pastel colors...the one I keep coming back to is blush pink! When I was growing up, my older sister had the most beautiful pink bedroom, with lots of ruffles and glitter!  This is my updated version and I love it!  I want to create a space that makes me feel like a little girl again...a princess in her castle.  I want this space to be pretty, soft, and sparkly, but with a grown up vibe!

Tell me what you think of this space?  I feel completely inspired to get started now.  I will keep you all posted on the progress.  It may take a while, but I will have my own retreat!

Find your style inspiration!  Enjoy shopping!

Rainboots Under $50

I have been wanting a pair of rainboots since last winter when I saw everyone wearing their super cute red and hot pink glossy Hunters or the classic Burberry plaid rubber boots!  I still haven't bought a pair though...as I just can't seem to justify the $150 - $300 price tag for designer rainboots!  I mean, let's be real, I live in northern California and we have been in a drought for almost a year now!  So I have given it a lot of thought and I decided to do some research on what I could find for a fraction of the price!

My criteria was simple:

1.  The rainbots have to be a bit whimsical, colorful, or unique in design  - I want a pair of rainboots that will be a conversation piece!

2.  They have to be made with good quality and be comfortable - I would hate to step in a puddle and come home with wet socks or feel like I'm wearing heavy bricks on my feet! and finally...

3.  They need to be under $50!

If you're like me and just want a pair of comfortable, affordable, and stylish rainboots that you can wear on those wet rainy days (if we get some this season), then check out my findings below and tell me which one is your favorite?  I picked up these colorfully designed Sakroots rainboots from DSW.  I thought the hippy psychedelic design was perfectly fit for San Francisco style!  However, I am also really craving the black and white houndstooth and the leopard rubber boots as well! At prices like these, you can get multiple pairs without breaking the bank and still look super stylish!  Don't forget they also make great gifts for the upcoming holiday season!

I hope you all have a fantastic day!  Enjoy Shopping!

Halloween/Fall Home Decor

I have been working on some home style inspired by fall!  I found some adorable throw pillows for Halloween from Nordstrom (pictured on the couch) and Pier One Imports (pictured on the chairs).   I love to decorate for the different seasons and throw pillows are a great way to add a little whimsy and holiday spirit to your home decor.

All of the furniture and artwork pictured below is from Ethan Allen. I generally gravitate towards soft muted neutrals when selecting furniture choices.  This allows you to easily add any pop of color you prefer which can be easily changed with accessories, throw pillows, artwork, blankets, etc.

I hope you are getting in the mood for Halloween!  Have fun decorating!

French Inspired Graphic Tees

Location: Niles Canyon Railway
Oui Non… I say definitely YES!  I don’t know about you but graphic tees are one of my favorite closet staples.  They are so versatile, not to mention a conversation piece!  I picked up this French inspired graphic tee from Banana Republic Factory.  I love the blush pink color and bold black writing!  I am showing a few optional choices in my “Shop The Look” link below.  Check out the great prices!

I paired this up with my Charlotte Ronson black sequins skirt.  I picked this one up at JC Penney last winter, but you can still find an abundance of darling sequins skirts out there.  I love the contrast of the wearing a graphic tee with something sparkly and fancy like sequins!  However, graphic tees will go with just about anything from jeans, to shorts, to tulle skirts, and pajama pants!  I actually love to wear mine to bed!

Tell me what you think of this look?  How do you style your graphic tees?  By the way, if you are a fashion blogger and would like to collaborate, I would love to hear from you!   I love making new friends!

Enjoy Shopping!

Hayley
