At Home Facial With Bella Schneider Beauty

With the winter weather behind us it's time to focus on getting our skin glowing and ready for spring!  I recently tried some new skincare products from Bella Schneider Beauty and have been so thrilled with the results I am seeing so far!  The winter weather can really take a toll on our skin from head to toe making it extremely dry and dull looking.  I wanted to find a skincare treatment that would rejuvenate and brighten the appearance of my skin as well as offer some well deserved nourishment.  These products are really making a noticeable difference!  Here are the details on the Bella Schneider Beauty products I have been currently using and loving!

1. Gold Glow Scrub

If you are looking for smooth as silk skin, look no further than this luxurious anti-aging exfoliating scrub!  The Gold Glow Scrub visibly softens fines lines, unclogs pores, and sloughs away dead skin cells leaving your skin fresh and rejuvenated!  The hydrating gold ingredients brighten dark spots and reduce inflammation.  In addition, detoxifying champagne works to even out your skin tone while mineral-rich pearl powder shields against damage and rebuild’s your natural collagen. 

I've been using this product about 2-3 times per week over the last month and have noticed quite a difference in my skin's texture and appearance.  I like to use it at nighttime before bed.  Once you've removed your makeup, gently massage a liberal amount on to damp skin using gentle circular motions for about one minute, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.  My skin is looking more smooth, luminous, and dewy.  My makeup glides on much easier now and doesn't collect in the fine lines and dry patches on my face anymore!  I 💗  it!

Smile Laugh Wink

My HydraFacial at Blackhawk Plastic Surgery & MedSpa

So let's chat about the Hydra Facial!  I met my aesthetician, Nikki, and she led me back to the facial room.  She explained all about the HydraFacial treatment which is a non-invasive, multi-step process that combines the benefits of next-level hydradermabrasion, a chemical peel, automated painless extractions, and a special delivery of Antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid, and Peptides.  This is all done in one hour long quick treatment without any down time or irritation.

There are 5 steps in the HydraFacial process:

The Hydra Facial is suitable for all skin types and is highly effective for improving your overall skin health as well as remedying a number common skin concerns such as:

-fine lines and wrinkles

-elasticity and firmness

-skin tone evenness, vibrancy, and texture

-hyper-pigmentation (a problem with my skin!)

-oily/congested skin

-enlarged pores

and...

-advanced signs of aging 

Several of these factors are skin concerns of mine and I really like the idea that this is a non-invasive  process!   

Once I was relaxed under the warm blankets and the sound of soothing zen music, Nikki started my treatment by cleansing my face and removing all my makeup and impurities.  This consisted of a gentle facial massage which was so relaxing!  

Cleansing:

Once my skin was ready, she began the HydraFacial.  The treatment uses a series of patented HydroPeel tips to exfoliate the skin several times each pass, achieving better, more even results.  The unique spiral design creates a vortex effect that easily dislodges and removes impurities while introducing hydrating skin solutions and potent antioxidants.

Not knowing what to expect, I was afraid that this would be a semi painful procedure...I imagined sucking, vacuuming, pulling, pinching...well, I was totally wrong and it was not what I envisioned at all!  The facial was 100% painless and actually quite relaxing and satisfying!

Don't mind my makeup-less face! (She did leave on my eye makeup)!  Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to wear liquid foundation and powder every day to cover up our skin concerns?    

Here's a quick video showing how easy the "extractions" are!  There was no pinching, pulling or abrasive tools used!

Next, Nikki applied a product called "Britenol" which reduces brown spots and hyper-pigmentation.  I can certainly use that in my beauty bag!  

A cooling hydrating mask was applied to my entire face an lips!  I didn't experience much redness at all, but if you do have sensitive skin, you may experience some.  The cooling and hydrating mask helps to soothe your skin.   

The treatment ended with red LED light therapy which increases the skin's collagen and elastin, stimulates tissue production, and lightens sun spots, age spots, and dark circles among many other fabulous benefits!

Target Beauty Concierge: Lip Colors

Have you guys ever tried the Target Beauty Concierge service?  I honestly had no idea this fantastic service was even available at my local Target store.  However, this past weekend I decided to stop by and browse the make-up department in search of some new lipstick colors.  I was getting tired of the same old two lip colors I have been wearing since summertime.  My goal was to update and refresh  my lip color pallet for winter and spring and try something different and new.       

After browsing and searching through aisles of different brands and hundreds of colors, I was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with so much to choose from.  That's when I met Sarah and she asked if I needed some help! At this point, I was thrilled to seek some advice and consultation!   I sat down and we discussed my beauty needs.  She asked me a number of questions to help narrow down her recommendations.    

We finally landed on the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusive.  Each lipstick in this carefully curated collection is custom made for every skin tone. My skin is fairly light to medium depending on the season, so Sarah suggested two colors from the Nude pallet and one color from the Red pallet.  I was a little hesitant when she suggested nude lip color.  I haven't had much luck in the past with wearing nude lipsticks.  However, she assured me there are many colors in this spectrum and all you need to do is select the correct hue to complement your skin tone. She recommended Doutzen's Nude 600 which is a light pink shade intended for fair to light skin tones, J Lo's nude 370 which is a bit more of a mauve color intended for medium skin tones, and Julianne's red 401 which is a bold and iconic red lip color. 

I was so thankful for Sarah's help and expert advice.  She was extremely personable, helpful, and knowledgeable about all of Target's beauty products!  We even chatted about the hottest trends in nail colors for spring and I "may" have picked up a few of her product suggestions there as well that I will share in a future post!

I headed home excited to try my new lip colors!  Here's a few pictures of the colors Sarah picked out!  Let me know which one is your favorite!    

Getting ready to try the first lip color: J Lo's Nude 370

I think this one was my favorite of all three!  Surprise!  As I mentioned, I never have luck with selecting a perfect nude color but this one is exceptional!  It looks completely natural without making me look washed out (which generally has been my problem with selecting a nude lip color in the past).  

Next up is: Doutzen's Nude 600 

I have to admit, I really wanted to try some new colors that take me out of my comfort zone...colors that I never wear but always want to try.  I have seen pictures of women who wear a light pink matte lipstick with a smoky eye and I have always wanted to achieve this look!  I really think Sarah nailed it when she recommended Doutzen's nude (shown in the pictures above).  What do you think of this color?

The last color to try on is Julianne's red 401.  Every woman needs a bold and bright red lip color in her beauty bag!  Red is a classic, timeless, and iconic color that will always be in style!  I really love this shade of red.  It matches my skin tone perfectly as Sarah said it would and I love the pure matte color and velvet finish!
