Ponte Tennis Dress

I recently purchased this red, white, and blue Tommy Hilfiger ponte tennis dress and I love it! I brought it with me on vacation when we went to San Diego and wore it to the 4th of July fireworks show with this red cardigan and these white sneakers.  This past weekend, I decided to pull it out again and shoot a few photos at the Port of Redwood City, CA.

This dress is super comfortable and I love the nautical and sporty style.  There are pretty pleats in the front and back that accentuate your curves in all the right places!  Also, who doesn't love pockets?  This is the perfect dress to wear to the office with a blazer like this one here and some flats such as these options here or the gold loafers here.  You can also dress it down for a more casual weekend look with a denim jacket and espadrilles such as these cute ones here and here.   

I still have my right white and blue manicure!  Getting my nails done this week!  :) 

I decided to wear red wedges for today's look.  I've had these wedges for a few years and I always find cute outfits to wear them with.  Here are a few other options that would look great here and here.  

I love the exposed gold zipper detail in the back of this dress and the red, white, and blue stripes around the waist.  It's a simple and classic nautical style!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites: Women's Shoes

Early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started yesterday for card holders!  I'm so excited because this is my absolute favorite sale of the year!  I love fall style and even though it's hard to think about OTK suede boots in the middle of summer, it's a great way to stock up on some favorites at great prices so you're all set for the upcoming season!

First of all, if you're not a Nordstrom card holder, you can apply for one here!  I personally do a lot of shopping at Nordstrom because I love their 24x7 customer service, free and fast shipping, and the rewards are pretty fabulous as well!

Today,  I rounded up some of my favorite women's shoes from the Anniversary sale below!  I'm so happy to see that some of my favorite trends from last fall are still popular and going strong.

1. OTK boots:


I purchased a gorgeous pair of tan suede OTK boots from the sale last year and wore them in this post here and here.  I love to wear my OTK boots with jeans and a chunky sweater or paired with tights and a skirt.  This year, I'm looking for some new colors to add to my closet. 2..  Lace up flats:


Can you believe I don't own a single pair of lace up flats?  I have been wanting to purchase some but the color I want has been out of stock or the price is just not right.  Well you can bet your bottom dollar I'm not going to pass it up this time!  Here are a few of my favorites lace up flats from the sale here, here, and here! 

3. Open toe booties:

I am so happy that the peep toe bootie trend is continuing into this fall season!  I am in love with these grey ones here!

I'm so excited to see some new trends emerge this fall and oxfords fits this category!  I love the men's style influence and all the different colors available for women!   I think they will look really cute with fall dresses, skirts, and tights!  Check out these cute styles and colors here, here, and here!

Striped Tank Dress

We recently spent a week in San Diego over the 4th of July holiday.  I knew when I packed for this trip, I would need plenty of red, white, and blue and comfortable clothes to explore around in!  Before we left for our vacation, I stopped by Old Navy to get some outfit inspiration.  I picked up this navy blue and white striped maxi tank dress!

It's been a while since I have worn a longer maxi dress and I figured it was time to mix up my wardrobe a bit and try some new things!  First of all, I love the super soft jersey knit this dress is made with.  It's like wearing soft pajamas!  I tied a small knot at the bottom of the dress for fun!  This gives it a more fitted look but it also looks beautiful and flowy draped on its own.  

I love navy blue and white stripes!  This is a quintessential nautical look, especially paired with red and gold accents (which also made it a perfect outfit for 4th of July). I brought along my favorite denim jacket for the fireworks show as it does get cooler in the evening when you're out at the coast.  

It's really easy to accessorize this dress!  I recently purchased this festive red and white striped tote which was perfect to bring as a carry on for the plane trip.  It also worked great to stow beach essentials such as sunscreen, my hat, and towels when we went out exploring!  Here are a few other cute options I found here and here.  

I recently purchased these cute white sunnies that go with almost any summer outfit.  Lately, I have been bored with my sunglasses and wanted to frame my face with some color!  I didn't want to spend too much and these were a great option!  Now, I'm on a mission to find more bold and bright colors!  I love these ones here, here, and here!  Perfect for summer, don't you think?
