Lilly Pulitzer will forever be one of my favorite go to brands.  I love the colorful patterns, beautiful details, whimsical prints, and Palm Beach Florida vibes. I mean, who doesn't love flamingos, palm trees, and the ocean?  Although I've been a California girl all of my life, Florida is one of our top family vacation destinations and these prints remind me of those sunny memories.

I was recently browsing the Lilly Pulitzer website because (ahem), we don't have a local store in the greater Sacramento area (hello...Westfield Roseville Galleria would be perfect!)  Anyway, I stumbled across so many cute spring and summer dresses, rompers, and tops and I felt compelled to share some of my favorites in my shopping cart!

 It's spring time!  The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and it's time to find that perfect dress for those upcoming spring soirees!  Don't worry - I've got you covered party girl!!  Are you attending a spring graduation, wedding ceremony, baby shower, bridal shower, or a fancy garden/tea party?  Well if the answer is yes to any of these special occasions, you'll want to shop early for the best spring selections!  I've gathered some of my favorites below.  You would be a knockout in any one of these dresses!

Cozy & Cuddly Beanies

If you're searching for stylish cold winter weather accessories, check out these cozy and cuddly beanies!  They come in a variety colors from neutrals to brights and numerous animal print colors!  When the temperatures drop, I always grab a beanie to keep my head and ears warm and I love ones with faux fur poms!  I wear these on my morning and evening walks and always pack them in my weekend bag when we head up to Lake Tahoe in the winter!

Warm and Fluffy Fleece Half Zip Pullovers for Fall

 I know it's still August and HOT as cracked egg frying on a concrete sidewalk....but....fall is just around the corner and now is the best time to stock up on some cooler weather essentials!  Fall is my favorite time of year!  I love watching the leaves change into warm bright colors, the smell of pumpkin spice lattes, the warm ambiance of scented candles burning in the house...and of course...warm, cozy, blankets and fleece to snuggle up with.

I was recently previewing the the big sale happening right now!  You all know which one I'm talking about.  They have a lot of classic fall/winter coats, pullovers, rain gear, etc.  However, the price points (even on sale) were a little more than I wanted to spend this year!  Also, I wasn't super impressed with the patterns.  It got me thinking, I can find cuter options at a much better price.  That is when I came across these fluffy fleece half zip pullovers!

Cozy fleece pullovers have been on trend every fall!  They are perfect to throw on doing your morning or early evening walks, running errands around town when the weather gets cool and crisp, and they are perfect for cozying up at home enjoying your morning coffee! Everyone loves animal prints and who isn't a big fan of camo?  However, the best part?  They're only $23.79!  SCORE!  You can buy three for the price of one on sale at the expensive retailer site!  

I just placed my order and will come back and give you a full review and pics on this post when I receive it!  I think these will sell out quickly so I got my hands on a few of them now!  The brand suggests sizing up.  I normally wear a medium but went for the large based on those directions, but please double check the sizing guide to help you find the perfect fit!

2020 Spring & Summer Hats to Love

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably noticed that I love to accessorize my outfits with hats! I recently put away all my fall/winter boots, blanket scarves, and beanies and pulled out my spring/summer sandals, sunglasses, hats, and accessories.  I have a relatively small closet, so seasonal rotation is a necessity.  Plus, it helps me stay better organized where I can easily find everything when I need it!

For today’s post, I’m sharing some of my favorite spring/summer hats!  I generally wear a hat every day, especially when I know I’ll be outside in the sun.  Hats not only make a cute accessory, but they also help shade and protect your face from the harmful rays of the sun.  They’re also a great way to hide a bad hair day!!

Summer Sandals Under $100

It's almost the official start to summer which means the weather is going to be much warmer in the months ahead! Therefore, it's time to dress up your feet with the cutest and hottest summer sandal styles!  I picked out several options and colors in my shopping list below!  The trend this year is all about slides - flat, colorful, and comfortable!  

I love to wear sandals with just about anything.  They look great with a pair of shorts, a comfortable pair of jeans, a beautiful cotton poplin dress...the possibilities are really endless.  The most important detail for me is comfort and style!  I think you'll find several favorites in the list below and the good thing is these pairs are all under $100 or less!

St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

St. Patrick's day is a few days away and this Irish girl is already thinking about how to celebrate!  Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick's Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green.  

Have you ever wondered why pinching someone who is not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day became a tradition?  Revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green). People began pinching those who didn't wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers!  Now a days, it's probably best to keep your pinching fingers to yourself, but I still like the idea of wearing green anyway to show my Irish pride!    

What are your St. Patrick's Day traditions?  Do you have any great recipes to share?  My mom always made the best corned beef and cabbage dinner on St. Patrick's Day when I was young!  I love the scent of the red cider vinegar brewing in the dutch oven! She typically served it with small red potatoes and green cabbage and always had a helpful serving of spicy mustard and vinegaron the side!

Floral Romper

If you are ready for spring, kick up your peep toe wedges!!  I know I am ready for warmer weather and I couldn't be more excited about soft pastel colors, sandals, shorts, pedicures, sunnies, straw hats, and spring's hottest trend...the romper!  

If there is one style essential I had to choose for my spring wardrobe this coming season, it would be a floral romper!  This white floral print sleeveless playsuit from Choies is gorgeous and it is under $25!  I styled it two ways.  The look on the left is more of a casual beach inspired style, while the look on the right is a great way to dress it up for a date night out!  Either way, you will look stunning! Which look do you like best?
