Twirl Worthy Floral Frock

Labor Day is unofficially the last weekend of the summer season.  It's a great time to get together with family and friends to enjoy a barbecue, have a pool party, and delight in the last few hot, sunny, blue sky days the season has to offer.  We are lucky here in the San Francisco Bay Area, as the best weather of the year is typically in September and & October, when summer transitions into fall.

Although I am looking forward to the arrival of autumn and transitioning my wardrobe to cooler and hopefully wet weather ahead, I will miss so many lovely things that summer brings each year - the taste of sweet watermelon and strawberries, the smell of freshly cut lawn and blooming roses, longer days that end in golden sunsets, and warm evenings by the outdoor fire pit making s'mores with the kids.

Today I am wearing a beautiful spring/summer inspired floral print dress by Maggy London.  I love the fit and flare style made in a cool stretch cotton material,  The floral palette includes soft colors of lavender, pink, green, and cranberry on top of a crisp white canvas.  Pair this with a colorful cardigan and matching flats when the days get a little cooler.  I opted to wear it with my favorite pair of lace up espadrille wedges and minimal accessories to truly show off the painterly floral pattern.

I hope you all have a happy, memorable, and relaxing Labor Day holiday!  Enjoy the unofficial last weekend of the summer by getting outdoors and making some fun memories with your family and friends!  Also, don't forget to check out those great Labor Day sales!

Enjoy Shopping!
